I've been too lazy to write a journal for the last few days, so I'm afraid that this won't actually have much new-year themed stuff in it.
I bought myself a tablet a couple of days ago, with the money left from Christmas. What can I say? Well, for starters, I could say: It's freakin awesome! It took a while to get used to it, but I've finally managed to churn out a self-portrait, which shall become my new deviant ID. Yeah, that's right. My face. On DA. Just remember to keep your vomit-bags with you.

Whew! Christmas was every bit as awesome as I expected, while at the same time being pretty far from perfect. Got up early, looted stocking, and spent the rest of the morning on the sofa reading a new Terry Pratchett book. My family dragged me out on a walk before Christmas lunch, which basically meant spending ages slipping around on ice-covered mud.
Christmas lunch was pretty traditional - turkey, sausage stuffing, sprouts, potatoes, bread sauce, etc. Afterwards we opened presents, and - guess what I'm typing this from - I got a NEW LAPTOP!!!!! Not that I had an old one, but nevertheless.

I've been meaning to write this for a while, but the world - and my English Coursework - conspired against me. I'm in a really festive mood at the moment. Christmas is just over the horizon, and there's a little star-shaped chocolate from my advent calendar each morning, too. Christmas! What's not to love?
